King James- where will he be next season?

Who hasn't had fun watching Lebron play in the playoffs this year- he has been unreal...Despite the 0-3 score in the finals.

In the 2018 playoffs, he has been posting 34.5 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 9 apg, 1 bpg, 1.2 spg 54% from the field (58%eFG...62% TS) and playing 42 MINUTES PER GAME....

Game 1 of the finals- his statline was 51/8/8/1/1

Game 3 of the finals- his statline was 33/10/11/2/2

Both INCREDIBLE box scores.... Each game has been must see TV- I have been mesmerized by what he has been able to do this season.

If you havent enjoyed watching Lebron drag this sorry excuse of a Cavs team through the playoffs, then you dont like basketball...

It is very intriguing to speculate about where Lebron is going to go this off-season after the CAVs lose to GSW... The impact of his decision will change the landscape of the NBA.....

In my mind, he has 2 potential teams to choose between; Philli and LAL.

Los Angeles Lakers

What makes LAL intriguing, is that they could potentially open up 2 max spots, bringing in Paul George with Lebron...

The starting lineup would look something like:

PG: Lonzo Ball (6'6" 190... 2nd year)

SG: Paul George (6'9" 220... 8th year)

SF: Brandon Ingram (6'9" 190... 3rd year)

PF: Lebron James (6'8" 250... 15th year)

C: Ayron Baynes or Zaza or McGee or Mejri (cheap, some type of fill in/serviceable 20 mpg starter)

With Kyle Kuzma coming off all the bench....

This team would be great potentially due to:

  • Passing/vision/ multiple play-makers/ shot creators.... both Lebron and Ball have elite vision/play making.... George and Ingram both have the ability to create for themselves and others
  • offensive/defensive Wing versatility- what team in the league would have that kind of length and versatility coming from the wing next year--- Lebron can play positions 1-4.... PG13 can play positions 2-4.... Brandon Ingram can play positions 2-4....Ball- due to height could potentially play 1-3 depending on matchup..... Kuzma can play 3-4 off the bench

Philadelphia 76ers

Trust the Process, Am I right??

Man- what a young core for Lebron James to join--- Two #1 picks and Joel Embiid.... a team that already made it to the 2nd round...

The starting lineup would look something like:

PG: Ben Simmons (6'10" 230... 2nd (3rd) year)

SG: Markelle Fultz (6'4" 200... 2nd year)

SF: Lebron James (6'8" 250... 15th year)

PF: Dario Šarić (6'10" 223... 3rd year)

C: Joel Embiid (7' 250... 3rd (4th) year)

This team would have elite size and athleticism that few teams could match across the board.... A team that ALREADY made it to the 2nd round of the Eastern Playoffs on the backs of 2 young and inexperienced stars in the making in Embiid and Simmons....

The 76ers ALREADY were the 4th team in the league in DEF rating during the 2017-2018 season... while also being the #1 ranked Rebounding Team in the league.... Can you imagine adding Lebron James to that mix??

What team could possibly guard against the size + driving power of both Lebron and Ben Simmons....two extremely fast and extremely powerful beasts that can get to the hoop at will.... and then also have to deal with the size, length, and strength of Joel Embiid in the post...

The Decision

For Lebron, there really isn't a bad choice between the 2 teams listed above...

I think he should go to Philli and stay in the East.... Making an easier path to the playoffs, and teaming up with 2 of the future faces of this league in Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid who already play on a team that plays ELITE defense and putting a less of a burden on the 33 year old King.

What do you think? Where will Lebron go and Why? Will he stay in Cleveland? What kind of impact will it leave on the rest of the league.
