THE STORY: Pre-season hoops comes to Dallas finally. Whether or not the locals get a live look at Kristaps Porzingis is still up in the air (ESPN’s injury tracker says no, but I don’t think it’s been updated lately, plus no confirmation as of this writing... which is like lunch time), but if I were to guess, at least Luka Doncic will play minutes. Past that, this game will be fairly routine... we do have a few things to look for, though.
What are you hoping to see this game? I’m going to be watching to see if any of the small forwards make a tangible impact. While Finney-Smith gets rebounds, it’s Justin Jackson doing the scoring. Tim Hardaway Jr. is a guard, but if he can make good decisions and fill up the bucket like he did against the Pistons, he makes a strong case for starting too.
