It’s Friday. You know what that means. That’s right, it’s time to look at the FanPulse results from Week Four of the NBA season. Last week was a doozy for the Mavericks, but y’all remained vigilant and true to the Dallas Mavericks. I’m sure Mark Cuban appreciates that. Before we get to Dallas, let’s see how you feel about this week’s league-wide FanPulse question.

Wait a minute. You don’t know what FanPulse is? Well partner, let me saddle up next you and fill you in. FanPulse is a weekly poll sent out by the head honchos at SB Nation. Its purpose is to see how you, the fans, feel about several topics in the NBA as well as your favorite team, in this case the Mavericks. Want to get in on the action? Sure, you do. You don’t even have to ante up. It’s totally free. SIGN UP now!

Alright, this week you were asked who is the most surprising team in the league so far. Obviously, you would’ve voted for the Mavericks if you could. They weren’t an option, though. The Boston Celtics, Miami Heat (ew, gross), Minnesota Timberwolves, and Phoenix Suns were your choices. Overwhelmingly, everyone picked the Suns. That should surprise no one.

For years now, the Suns have struggled mightily. If you were looking for a bottom feeder in the Western Conference, look no further than Phoenix. Their turnaround this year is remarkable, but it’s expected.

New general manager James Jones seems to care about the success of the organization. This summer, he brought in the likes of head coach Monty Williams and players Ricky Rubio, Aron Baynes, Cheick Diallo, Dario Saric, and Frank Kaminsky. Those might not sound like heavy hitters, but they’ve helped the Suns turn it around.

Can Phoenix maintain their winning ways? I don’t know. We’ll have to wait and see. However, it’s good to see a team who’s been in the dumps for so long finally make a leap forward.

On to the Mavs!

Losses to the Celtics and Knicks haven’t done much to hamper the overall enthusiasm y’all have about how the organization looks up to now. I thought they might cause some of you to waiver. I was wrong (it happens sometimes). You love this team and I think I know why.

Luka Doncic is everything to you. How can you be mad at where the team is heading if it has Luka? They Suns might be better, but do they have Luka? No. The Sacramento Kings are, well, still the Kings. They could be better if they had Luka. They don’t though. LOL. The Mavs have him.

As long as Doncic is a member of the Mavericks, everyone is going to be happy. The 100 percent confidence isn’t going to dip any time soon. I get that now. It might not be entirely realistic, but long term it makes sense. I’m cool with it if you’re cool with it.

I’ll be back next week to recap your responses to next week’s polls. Want to join in? SIGN UP for FanPulse. It’s free, easy, and takes just seconds. SB Nation (and me) want to hear from you. You’ve got insight. Put it to good use. Join in on the FanPulse fun!
