With the New York Knicks coming to Dallas Friday, it finally felt right to bring on long time friend Jared Dubin (@JADubin5). He’s an absolutely prolific writer who covers football for CBS Sports as a main job. But I’d argue his true love is basketball and he contributes these days to FiveThirtyEight and The Step Back of Fansided. He’s written for just about every website we have these days. We talk nearly all things Kristaps Porzingis.
As usual, remember to go to your favorite podcast app, search Mavs Moneyball podcast, and rate and review us. If you don’t want to do that and, if you can’t see to the embed, click here to be taken to the show directly.
If you’ve never read or heard Jared before, I’d say you may simply not know it. He’s written everywhere. Click here to see just how many places and all his posts in one place. He also has this killer Patreon hosted show called Last Night in Basketball I cannot recommend highly enough.
We touch on all things Porzingis related: from the narratives surrounding him as he prospered in New York, to the injuries which limited each of his previous seasons, to the technical stuff like why it seems like Porzingis never sets a proper screen for Luka Doncic.
If you want to learn more about KP from someone who covered him extensively, this is the episode for you.
