THE STORY: These two teams last met a few days ago in New Orleans, where the Mavericks handled business against a Pelicans team still missing their rookie sensation in Zion Williamson. This will be the third matchup between the two teams with the Mavs having won both — and Zion won’t be back for a couple weeks yet. A few days ago, Luka handled the Pelicans easily, and there’s no reason to expect that he won’t do the same this afternoon. On the other hand, Dallas is due for a loss, so maybe today is the day they come back down to earth a bit.
