It’s NBA Trade Deadline day! The deadline is coming quickly at 2 pm CST with all deals needing to be in the league office queue by that time. Most of the trades will be reported by 2:30pm CST so we can all get along with our day. I recommend keeping an eye on twitter and ESPN as they’ll be doing a live Trade Deadline edition of the Jump starting at 12 pm CST.
With Dallas already completing two distinct deals before the day of, it seems like the Mavericks might be done dealing for the time being. But the Mavericks also now have a significant chunk of cap space and may have created the largest trade exception ever, so they have options should a deal present itself.
In the meantime, we’ll start with the news and fallout from the Harrison Barnes trade. First, if you didn’t see last night, Salah Merji has been placed on waivers by the Mavericks.
The Mavs have officially acquired Justin Jackson and Zach Randolph from Sacramento for Harrison Barnes. They've also requested waivers on Salah Mejri.

Second, this morning Marc Stein reports that Zach Randolph will, in all likelihood, never even report to Dallas and should receive a buy out.

Considering the lack of size in Dallas now, this seems strange at first glance. Yet Z-Bo is a long time NBA veteran so they may simply be looking to do right by him.
