In a video circulating Twitter this morning, Dallas Mavericks big man Kristaps Porzingis is seen outside a bar after what appears to be a physical altercation with at least one other man.

It’s unclear who took the video, though it appears to be shared initially through the @NY_Knicks_Fr account:

It is believed Porzingis is in his hometown of Liepaja, Latvia. The video shows what appears to be the aftermath of a fight. Porzingis, clearly upset, turns to reveal a large cut over his right eye and his shirt torn across the left side of his chest.

After a few people walk away from him, Porzingis pushes a woman aside to go after the alleged assailants. He appears to be stopped by police or security while he yells at a man that was taken away. Porzingis continues to point off in the distance while members of his group lead him to a wall to calm down.

As details emerge, if any at all, about the origin of the altercation or what followed after, we will update this story.

UPDATE: Per a report by ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, Porzingis was jumped by a group of Russians inside a club in his hometown of Liepaja, Latvia. Sources inside the Mavericks believe Porzingis was hit with a chair and initially fought back before security stepped in.

Though there have been a variety of reports detailing what started the altercation, MacMahon mentions TMZ’s report believing that the men were upset with Porzingis for his departure from the New York Knicks.

It isn’t believed that Kristaps Porzingis sustained any serious injuries.
