The Dallas Mavericks opted not to make a selection with the 37th pick in the NBA Draft, instead trading that pick to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for this year’s 45th pick and two future second round picks. With pick 37, the Mavericks selected Deividas Sirvydis from Lithuania for Detroit.
The Mavericks had a single second round pick entering the night, after they officially sent the 10th pick to the Atlanta Hawks — the deal that brought Luka Doncic to Dallas last summer. As pick 37 rolled around there were still plenty of quality players available for the Mavs to select, including Bol Bol, Luguentz Dort, Eric Paschall, and Jontay Porter, some of which we have written about here at MMB over the past few weeks.
Now, we all wait for pick 45 to roll around to see who will be available for the Mavericks as the evening rolls on.
