The Dallas Mavericks announced their schedule and full roster for NBA Summer League, which for the Mavericks takes place in Las Vegas beginning July 5th.

Of note on this year’s roster, Luka Doncic and Jalen Brunson will not play. Though you commonly see sophomore players on these rosters, this isn’t really a surprise considering the level of play both showcased this past season. However, the two-way players from this past season, Kostas Antetokounmpo and Daryl Macon, will play.

Mavericks draft pick Isaiah Roby and undrafted free agent Josh Reaves are of course on the roster, to very little surprise.

The biggest surprise on the roster is fourth year player Cameron Payne, who was drafted 14th overall by Oklahoma City in 2015. Payne had a good rookie year with Oklahoma City before being injured and then traded to the Bulls. He hasn’t really been on anyone’s radar since.

The Mavericks begin Summer League play on July 5th vs. the Brooklyn Nets, and play games against Houston (July 6), Sacramento (July 8) and Croatia (July 10) before tournament play begins. All the games will be televised on NBA TV with the exception of the game against Croatia which will be on ESPNU.

What are you looking forward to when Summer League play starts? Let’s hear it in the comments!
