Friday morning, twitter user @PandaHank41 tagged as many people as he could think of in an absolutely incredible video he created of legend Dirk Nowitzki.
It’s 18 minutes of “inject it directly into my veins” highlights of early Dirk, including some tape I’ve not seen in years. These days when Dirk video gets circulated, it’s usually from the championship season in 2011 when Dirk was 32 or the occasional flashback to 2006 finals run.
But @Pankahank41 gets so many fantastic highlights from 1999 to 2004, which happened to be the years of some of my favorite Dallas teams. A nearly twenty minute video is a huge ask these days, but I’ve got to tell you Friday morning when I watched this I ended up transfixed the entire time.
Right now we’re in the dead of Mavericks content so this was like water in a desert. I hope you enjoy the trip down memory lane as much as I did.
