After a long holiday hiatus, FanPulse is back! That’s right, folks, your favorite weekly column that dozens of you read is here for the year 2020. What can you expect in the new year? Well, there won’t be any major changes. The column kind of speaks for itself. It’ll still chart the feelings and thoughts of you, the fans, and present them in nifty little charts that your eyes will love.
Alright, per usual, if you’d like to SIGN UP to participate in FanPulse, click the link. It’s free, quick, and easy. Usually it takes just a few minutes. So, come on, join in!
This week’s national question was a little outside the box. It asked voters how they would react to being dunked on. Interesting. Based on the responses, all y’all are apparently too cool for school. Over 65 percent of you said you’d just walk it off. OK, Jan.

I have been dunked on so let me tell you about it. Many moons ago, during my freshman year of college, I was in a pickup game in my athletics class. One of the bench guys from the basketball team, who was a TA, was on the other team. After a turnover, he was heading the other way with me in pursuit. I caught up to him and went up to block his shot (I’m not short) as he got to the rim. Dude elevated just enough and threw it down on me. Pretty sure I fouled him on the play too.
That’s it. That’s my story of being dunked on.
What about you? Has someone dunked on you? Tell your story in the comments.
Now for your take on the Dallas Mavericks.
Since we left you without a dope beat to step to, the Mavericks haven’t really been playing top-form basketball. Injuries to Tim Hardaway Jr. and Kristaps Porzingis haven’t helped matters. The dip in wins and poor play with the game on the line is starting to wear on you and that’s represented in chart.

This is a pretty significant drop, especially considering the fanbase was riding high for so long. It’s also understandable. Dallas has a 7-8 record over its last 15 games. Not only that, but their league-best offensive rating has taken a hit. Just for the last 15 games, the Mavs rank seventh in offense. Woof. Compounding matters, Porzingis’ injury is allowing teams to feast in the paint. This may be the Mavericks’ Icarus moment.
As far as I know, FanPulse is back on a regular schedule and will return next week. I’m sure that pleases a couple of you. If you’d like to weigh in on the latest trends and happenings in the NBA, please feel free to SIGN UP.
Until we meet again, MFFLs...
