WHO: Sixty of the brightest young basketball players in the world, your Dallas Mavericks and 29 other teams ready to acquire cheap talent.

WHAT: The 2020 NBA Draft

WHERE: Broadcasting from ESPN’s headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut, but prospects will be live via videoconference.

WHEN: 7 P.M. CT

HOW: ESPN

THE STORY: The pivotal day is here for the Dallas Mavericks. Luka Doncic has proven he is an MVP caliber player. Kristaps Porzingis is good when available, but is struggling to stay healthy. The Mavericks’ role players exceeded all expectations last year. Now, it’s time to add some young talent to the mix.

The Mavericks are slated to make the 18th and 31st overall picks in tonight’s draft. Will they actually make picks there, trade them individually for role players or try to package them in a home run swing? We’ll have to wait and see what happens.

Talk among yourselves below as the night goes on. Celebrate together if Dallas drafts Desmond Bane. Mourn together if they select a draft-and-stash player. Whatever happens, be kind and have a good time.

There will be a slew of content related to the Mavericks’ selections posted on the site tonight and through the week. In the meantime, keep your gears turning with some the coverage already live on the site. We’ll be here all night.
