The Dallas Mavericks start preseason play on Dec. 12 against the Milwaukee Bucks, the Mavericks announced today in a press release. Dallas’ preseason schedule will be three games, with two against Milwaukee and one against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Fans looking for a reason to tune in outside of seeing the recently revamped Mavericks roster will see the Bucks two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Timberwolves Anthony Edwards, the number one overall pick from the 2020 NBA Draft earlier this month.
2020 Dallas Mavericks Preseason Schedule

It will be interesting to see how the Mavericks (and the league in general) handles having the preseason and regular season start so soon after the NBA Draft. I have to imagine we’ll be seeing a decent amount of Josh Green, Tyrell Terry and Tyler Bey in these preseason games, as Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle looks to get them up to speed as quickly as possible.
The Mavericks said the broadcast information for these games will be announced at a later date.
