The wonderful people at Fox Sports Southwest will be re-airing most of the 2011 Dallas Maverick championship run in late April and early May. Per Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning news:
Sorry, here’s a less messy version of the Mavs’ 2011 playoff rerun on @FOXSportsSW, in one tweet instead of several. pic.twitter.com/iaVeAWZtzl

Unless I’m missing something, it seems they are airing all 16 victories on the way to the title, with none of the losses.
FOX Sports Southwest will replay @DallasMavs, @DallasStars, and @Rangers historic playoff runs starting tonight. #MFFL | #GoStars | #TogetherWe

Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Terry, Jason Kidd, Tyson Chandler, Shawn Marion, Rick Carlisle with hair, DeShawn Stevenson, Brian Cardinal, J.J. Barea and more! Talk about appointment television
With the continued uncertainty (and likely cancellation of the 2019-20 season), this is a great idea for all Dallas sports fans looking to watch sports. Personally, I’ve found these re-airs on NBAtv of classic championship runs to be really fun. Regular season games might not be the most engaging things to show again, but runs like the one Dallas had in 2011 are why people buy commemorative DVDs, shirts, and gear.
What’s unclear at the moment is if those of us outside the Dallas/Fort Worth area will be able to partake in the fun. Hopefully the Fox Sports Southwest app will stream these games as well at the same time, so more of us can enjoy this together. We’ll update when we know more.
Until then, block off your busy quarantine schedule for these awesome Maverick games.
