Maxi Kleber is in the midst of his third and best season as a Dallas Maverick. With the playoffs right around the corner, it’s imperative to the teams success that he continues his steady shooting and defensive lock-down performances. I decided to watch some film, crunch his numbers, and study the shot charts to see just how big of an impact Kleber has on the team. I put together a video on all that I found, and the amount of impact he has on the court may surprise you:
A surface analysis of his numbers show a good but not great player, but a deeper dive speaks of a player who produces in important areas and who keeps improving. Kleber is arguably one of the most valuable big men in the league, given his role as a back-up stretch five who is effective at both shooting the three and defending the rim.
Let me know below what area you think Kleber provides the most value in and if you’d like to see more of these videos in the future!
