THE STORY: After a fast start against the Pacers on Sunday afternoon, the Mavericks faded fast. Granted, it’s just a scrimmage and Dallas didn’t play a real rotation. That said, it would be nice to see the Mavericks come out sharp against the 76ers. Hopefully Kristaps Porzingis will get time on the floor, same for Trey Burke who may be a real part of the Dallas rotation.
Realistically, there’s not much to take away from these games. It’s for players to get a feel for the atmosphere and playing ultra-competitive basketball again. As of this writing, it’s not clear if all Dallas players will even suit up.Hopefully, everyone on both teams get out of the game injury free and we can look ahead to the Mavericks facing off against the Houston Rockets Friday.
