WHO: Dallas Mavericks at Indiana Pacers
WHAT: The 14th game of the Mavericks 72 game regular season, which somehow puts Dallas nearly a fifth of the way done with their season
WHERE: Bankers Life Fieldhouse with about 1000 fans in attendance
WHEN: 6:00 p.m. CT
HOW: Fox Sports SW or League Pass
THE STORY: The Mavericks have lost three games in a row for the first time since Luka Doncic was a rookie. They are in a very difficult stretch of their season, playing five games in seven days, in addition to being shorthanded. Rick Carlisle called it “a murderous week”, and so far, it’s gotten the better of the Mavericks.
Things don’t necessarily get easier for Dallas tonight, as they still have four key rotation players in Health and Saftey Protocols:
- Maxi Kleber
- Josh Richardson
- Dwight Powell
- Dorian Finney-Smith
The Pacers are currently the East’s fourth seed with a record of 8-5, largely thanks to MVP-caliber production from Domantas Sabonis. The forward is averaging 21.7 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game this season. Indiana big man Myles Turner, who suffered an avulsion fracture in his right hand, is questionable tonight. However, they still have Malcolm Brogdon pioneering their offense. Brogdon leads the Pacers in points, assists, and steals per game.
Be nice. Have fun. Enjoy the game.
