THE STORY: Dallas heads back out on the road for their fourth contest away from home this season. After going 1-2 on a rough west coast swing, they’ll be facing off against the struggling Chicago Bulls. Chicago will be missing four players this evening due to Covid protocols.
The Mavericks will hope to build off an ugly New Year’s Day game where they beat Miami but nothing about the game felt particularly convincing, past Luka Doncic shining. Dallas will need to shut down a Chicago offense with a variety of capable scorers while also trying to connect on open shots, something they’ve struggled with through five games.
We’ll see if the Mavericks can climb back to .500 after starting the season slowly.
