WHO: Dallas Mavericks at Toronto Raptors
WHAT: Trying for the first win of the season
WHERE: Scotiabank Arena, Toronto Canada
WHEN: 6:30 p.m. CST
HOW: BallySports SouthWest
THE STORY: The Mavericks look for their first win of the season following an ugly loss at the Atlanta Hawks Thursday. They will have had two days to lick their wounds and consider whether having 37 players in the paint is good for offensive efficiency. The Dorian Finney-Smith post offense gets a second run against a Toronto team that just beat the crap out of the Boston Celtics Friday night.
Two days rest for Dallas versus none for Toronto should be the overarching story. Despite it being early in the season, I fully expect the refreshed and motivated Mavericks to pour it on the Raptors. If they don’t? Well, expect more disgruntlement from our staff (well, everyone but Luke who is our staff’s Coach Lasso).
As it’s a Saturday night game, I doubt we’ll have the volume of takes we had after game one, but who knows. Thanks for hanging out, we appreciate our readership. Go Mavs.
