THE STORY: The Mavericks lost their third straight national TV game last night against the Heat. Lucky for us, they are undefeated when not playing on national TV, and this game against the Spurs is not a national telecast.

It’s unclear at the moment if Kristaps Porzingis is going to play as he’s listed as questionable in the afternoon injury report. I can’t help but think he plays. They have two days off after this. This is back tightness. If he doesn’t play, then perhaps we have a bigger problem on our hands than has been advertised.

The Spurs are without Jakob Poeltl who entered COVID protocols. He was a big part of the Spurs both leaping out ahead and keeping things close.
