Luka Doncic scored a new career-high against the New Orleans Pelicans, scoring 46 points. He also chipped in eight rebounds and dished 12 assists
His previous high was 42 points, a mark he hit three times previously. He scored 42 in the duel against Steph Curry last week and also hit that mark against the Suns and Spurs last season.
Doncic scored in a variety of ways, connecting from three-point range five times, hitting 7-of-9 free throws, scoring in the mid-range, and finishing at the rim with ease. He even connected on a crazy fadeaway from the perfect spot on the floor.

Watch that again. He hit a spinning fadeaway from Dirk’s favorite spot. Overall, Doncic connected on 17-of-30 attempts from the floor.
With teammate Kristaps Porzingis catching fire early and scoring 36 himself, the additional space provided by the porous New Orleans defense allowed Doncic to score with relative ease.
The Mavericks defeated the Pelicans, 143-140.
