WHO: Brooklyn Nets vs. Dallas Mavericks
WHAT: Another attempt to get to .500, again
WHERE: Barclay Center, Brooklyn, NY
WHEN: 7:30 p.m. CT
HOW: ABC
THE STORY: The Dallas Mavericks are on national television again, this time facing the Brooklyn Nets on ABC.
Dallas might get star-adjacent (planet?) center Kristaps Porzingis back from what is apparently a back injury, though his quotes to the media yesterday indicate there’s some friction between he and the training staff. This wouldn’t be the first time the injury-prone big man has had disagreements with a team’s medical advice: it was an issue with the Knicks as well. That all said, he’d be a welcome boost to the roster of Dallas big men who haven’t looked very good in his absence.
The Nets will be without all-multiverse forward Kevin Durant, who is dealing with a hamstring injury and should be out until after the All-Star break. Jeff Green is on the injury report as of this writing so it’s unclear whether he’ll play. That means the Nets will haev just two incredible superstars in James Harden and Kyrie Irving, so perhaps this means we’ll finally see Josh Richardson guard a star player from another team. Who knows though, maybe Rick will have him guard someone else just to mess with us.
As always be nice. Big time game on tv, so let me know if trolls come to inhabit the thread.
