WHO: Dallas Mavericks vs Oklahoma City Thunder
WHAT: A golden opportunity for the Mavericks to snap their two-game losing streak
WHERE: Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City, OK
WHEN: 7:00 p.m. CST
HOW: Fox Sports SW, NBA League Pass
THE STORY: The last time these two teams played, Dallas (quite frankly) got cute and rested their two stars. Josh Richardson, Jalen Brunson and Tim Hardaway Jr. — the three guys who should be playing well every night — all scored at least 24 points each. But the Thunder simply outplayed the Mavericks, as all five of their starters scored in double figures.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 32 points, but he’s not a concern for Dallas tonight as he’s out for an extended amount of time with a foot issue. Al Horford also won’t see the floor, as the Thunder are simply sitting him for the remainder of the season. Oklahoma City must’ve caught up on their Cade Cunningham tape. It’s fair to assume they’ll lose as many games as possible down the stretch.
This is a great opportunity for Dallas to get a win and build some momentum before a stretch of games on the east coast. A loss tonight would be horrid, but let’s not even go there.
Talk about the game and have fun.
