WHAT: Dallas tries to beat the Knicks with Porzingis for the first time since the trade
WHERE: Madison Square Garden, New York City, New York
WHEN: 6:30 p.m. CST
HOW: NBAtv or Bally Sports or whatever the new network is called
THE STORY: The writing of this section should coincide with how the Mavericks want to beat the Knicks and get that off the back of Kristaps Porzingis, as it’s something that hasn’t happened since he’s been a Maverick. However, breaking news is that Rick Carlisle might have tested positive with Covid-19. It’s pretty wild.
Carlisle says that this morning "I had an unexpected positive test. There's a chance and a hope that it will be a false-positive." Carlisle says he has been fully vaccinated since January. He is still in the Mavs hotel in NY. If new test results come back negative he could coach.— Brad Townsend (@townbrad) April 2, 2021
So we’ll obviously know more by the time the game starts but this is unexpected to say the least. That means Jamahl Mosley is set to take the reigns for Dallas but there won’t be much of a different game plan (though we’re not privy to that anyway). Let’s hope for the best for Carlisle and the best for the Mavericks.
Note that with a game tomorrow I’m likely to take this down post game or at some point in the night. Everyone be nice and let me know if there are problems or Knicks trolls. Go Mavs.
