WHAT: Do the Mavericks feel like seizing control of their playoff destiny?

WHERE: American Airline Center, Dallas Texas

WHEN: 8:00 p.m. CST.

HOW: BallySports

THE STORY: Not to be dramatic but this game is extremely important in terms of the playoff seeding for Dallas. If they win tonight, due to tiebreaker over the Lakers, they are the fifth seed (at least for one night). If they lose, then they’re the seventh seed because the Blazers own the tie breaker over the Mavericks. So yeah, very important.

BUT! To counter that basketball existential stress, this should be a very fun game. Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook are playing very well and each seems to relish playing Luka Dončić. Which means Luka will feel challenged and probably put on a show. Whether the injury ridden Mavericks have enough is why we watch the games. Have fun, go Mavs.
