THE STORY: Dallas runs into another team lacking depth, this time the Memphis Grizzlies. Memphis needs a win to stay with the Golden State Warriors in the race for the eighth seed, but with Jonas Valančiūnas likely out to go along with Grayson Allen and Jaren Jackson Jr., the Grizzlies will be hard pressed to stick with the Dallas Mavericks.
Last game, Dallas escaped with the shot of the year from Luka Doncic, but expecting Brandon Clarke and Xavier Tillman to stop Luka Doncic near the rim is a tall order. The Mavericks need this win as they currently have the inside track to holding on to the fifth seed. Both the Lakers and Blazers have tough schedules to finish the year whereas the Mavericks... do not. But as we all know, Dallas can get taken down by any opponent.
