WHO: Dallas Mavericks vs Brooklyn Nets
WHAT: Beating the Nets so the Mavericks can stay in the fifth seed
WHERE: American Airline Center, Dallas Texas
WHEN: 6:30 p.m. CST.
HOW: TNT
THE STORY: The Dallas Mavericks really need to win this game. They’ve needed to win all these games, but the Kings and the Mavericks disagreed.
With hanging on to the fifth seed on the line, the Mavericks face off against the Brooklyn Nets, who are trying to get healthy and right before the playoffs. Last time the Mavericks beat the Nets James Harden was the only member of their big three to suit up. This time, Dallas won’t see Harden but will have to figure out what to do with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant.
Irving’s had an excellent season when he does play and is considered (correctly, in my opinion) to be one of the most creative scorers of all time. Kevin Durant is what you’d design on a video game if you were trying to cheat the system. At 7 feet tall, he can do just about anything on the basketball court.
Fortunately, the Nets don’t play much defense, so the Mavericks should at least be able to score with them.
Enjoy the early game and Go Mavs.
