NBA: Playoffs-Los Angeles Clippers at Dallas Mavericks Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

WHO: Dallas Mavericks at Los Angeles Clippers

WHAT: Game 5 of the series

WHERE: Staples Center, Los Angeles California

WHEN: 9:00 p.m. CST

HOW: TNT

THE STORY: There’s a stat floating about that the winner in game five of round one playoff series that are tied 2-2 wins the series 85% of the time. It makes sense logically, if a team loses, then they need to win two in a row to win a series which is simply much harder to do.

So it’s safe to say that this is the game which should decide the series and if Rick Carlisle has any aces up his sleeve, now is the time to play them. Kind of like this new Luka Doncic jersey I’m expecting something weird.

Personally, I think they should run a Luka Doncic-Kristaps Porzingis pick and ROLL (emphasis on roll on purpose) to death. I don’t care if Kawhi Leonard causes chaos. I want Porzingis to get looks in the restricted area and I want Dallas to try to punish a smaller line up. Of course, what I want is pointless as I am not a coach and I could be missing something obvious. I suppose my intent behind all this is to say that if the Mavericks are to lose, I’d like them to lose in a different way as opposed to the drubbing Dallas took in game two.

I still have plenty of faith, so let’s go Mavs. See y’all during and after the game. GO MAVS.
