Though we’ve been running a fair amount of preview content since last week, we’re going to take a break for today as we watch for the extensive media day coverage that’s going to roll out both with the Mavericks and the rest of the NBA.
If you haven’t logged back in using our new comment system, do so today!
Training camp starts tomorrow, with practice going Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Preseason games start a week from Wednesday, where they’ll play four games before the regular season kicks off Thursday, October 21st.
The pre-season schedule is as follows:
- Wednesday, October 6th versus the Utah Jazz at 7:30 pm
- Friday, October 8th versus the Los Angeles Clippers at 7:30 pm
- Wednesday, October 13th at the Charlotte Hornets at 5:30 pm
- Friday, October 15th at the Milwaukee Bucks at 7:30 pm
What sort of things are you looking forward to about Media Day? In years past, it was the last day we saw a smiling Rick Carlisle, able and willing to answer questions without his usual scowl.
I, for one, am looking forward to seeing how Reggie Bullock interacts with his new teammates. Kristaps Porzingis is always good with thoughtful answers to questions. Though it may not come across via social media today, there will be limited access today with only a certain number of in-person media allowed. The rest of us, including Mavs Moneyball, will be on the Zoom today.
Let’s see what happens today. Share your favorite quotes, pictures, and links in the comments below.
