The Dallas Mavericks announced via Twitter that they will be holding an open practice for fans on Sunday, October 3rd. It’s the return of Fan Jam!

The event is being held at the American Airlines Center and is free to attend. The doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the practice kicks off at 1:00 p.m. All attendees will be required to have a negative Covid-19 test within 48 hours of prior to the event or show proof they are full vaccinated against Covid-19. Masks will be required while in the arena.

The Mavericks will be hosting a vaccine clinic at the arena from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Fan Jam will also be live streamed at Mavs.com.

At past Fan Jams, players were available for autographs, and in 2015, fans were able to participate in a giant game of Knockout on the court. Of course, there was the usual Mavericks fanfare—drumlines, Mavs ManiAACs, Mavs dancers, and the Mavericks’ street team.

Knowing the Mavericks, there’s sure to be plenty of auxiliary entertainment accompanying the basketball. Also, Covid-19 protocols will certainly limit contact with players. But this will be one of the first times fans can interact with the 2021-22 Dallas Mavericks, so it’s a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Be on the lookout for more details as they’re released.
