The list includes the names of notable or talented starters that played for the Dallas Mavericks. The wins and losses list consists of the year and position of the player. My takeaway from the list is Dallas plays 0.500 basketball historically because of the talent. No disrespect to the players, and posting the list Is not an intention to frame a viewpoint of the team’s history. I do believe Dallas plays 0.500 basketball consistently because of the past and present leadership. The inconsistency in talent, lack of above-average players, and combination of both implicate the historical wins and losses record.

I based the list on stats, videos, articles on the players, and other verifiable information. The age of each player factors into the list. Some players played while their skills, health, and time in the NBA declined. Conversely, some players emerged while playing for the Dallas Mavericks.

Noticeable does not mean the players were stars or above average. Additionally, the term in context also means names people recognize, such as players people primarily know because of the time the players spent with the Mavericks. Additionally, some people on the list did not play significant time and stayed on the roster for contractual purposes. Furthermore, noticeable players were contributors or good role players. Deeper insight into the organization could reveal the decisions and events that shaped the rosters. I believe internal and external factors caused players to leave Dallas. However, The 0.500 wins and losses record could result from cognitive dissonance in organizational behavior. Cognitive dissonance is not prevalent every season. The lack of talent is arguably a primary factor every year.
