The Dallas Mavericks (10-6) play the Houston Rockets (8-6) in a NBA In-Season Tournament Group Play game on Tuesday night. The game will be broadcast on Bally Sports Southwest. It’s one of two Dallas home games since November 10th, so hopefully the Mavericks will get to enjoy a victory against one of the more surprising teams in the rough-and-tumble Western Conference. Let’s get to the key things:
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks vs Houston Rockets
- WHAT: Southwest Division Rivalry game for the NBA In-Season Tournament
- WHERE: American Airlines Center, Dallas Texas
- :WHEN: 7:30 pm CST
- HOW: Bally Sports Southwest
On the injury report, the Dallas Mavericks have Dereck Lively II listed as available and Maxi Kleber is sstill out. For the Rockets, Amen Thompson is out with an ankle injury, Victor Oladipo is listed as out as well. A number of other Rockets are mentioned but they are all listed as available.
It’s taken this long to get to the news of the day but it didn’t matter for the game. As you know by know, Cuban is selling a big part of the Mavericks. You can read about that here and maybe we’ll have more on it later. I say maybe because I cannot tell you how much I don’t want to have to talk about the owner of the team (or owners). I’m here to cover the basketball and when we have to dip outside of that... well it’s not what we’re best at.
We have the longer preview written last night that I thought was really good. There’s a bit (large) gap in coaching philosophies, so watch how hard Houston plays tonight. There’s also the gambling post to read as well. Lastly, there’s this good post from Jordan on Tim Hardaway Jr.
I’m on the recap tonight, so get excited about too many words. Thanks for hanging out, we’ll talk soon.
