The Dallas Mavericks (11-6) face off against the Memphis Grizzlies (4-13) Friday night in Dallas in a game to be broadcast on Bally Sports Southwest at 6:30 pm.
The nightmare season for Memphis continues as they come to Dallas having won just four games in the 2023-24 regular season. Ja Morant’s suspension kicked things off but injuries have kept piling up for Memphis as well. Dallas, meanwhile, got the bounce back win they needed on Tuesday night and had a couple of days of rest since. Let’s get to the key points:
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks vs Memphis Grizzlies
- WHAT: Southwest Division Rivalry game
- WHERE: American Airlines Center, Dallas Texas
- WHEN: 6:30 pm CST
- HOW: Bally Sports Southwest
On the injury front, the Mavericks are missing both Luka Dončić and Dante Exum for personal reasons (we know Luka’s fiancée had their first child because he announced it on Instagram). Tim Hardaway Jr. is questionable with illness and Maxi Kleber is still out. Olivier Maxence-Prospect is available after being listed as questionable due to illness. The Grizzlies are missing so many guys it’s ridiculous. They have 8 guys listed on the report with 7 of them out for the game!
I’d say Dallas should win this one but that’s probably dumb. Needless to say I hope they take care of business because the Mavs have another game tomorrow night.
We published plenty the last few days, if you haven’t been to the site. Be sure to go read stuff during commercials! I liked the Jordan piece from yesterday on Kyrie’s third and fourth quarters. Thanks for stopping bye, we’ll see what we can rustle up after the game.
