The Dallas Mavericks (18-13) are on the road Thursday night, this time facing off against the Minnesota Timberwolves (22-7). The game starts at 7:00 pm on Bally Sports Southwest. Dallas lost an embarrassing game Wednesday night to the Cleveland Cavaliers but had no time to dwell on the contest, as they had to hop on a plane to Minnesota. The Timberwolves have had two days to think about an ugly loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday. Let’s get to the key things:
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks vs Minnesota Timberwolves
- WHAT: Dallas tries to recover from a bad home loss
- WHERE: Target Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota
- WHEN: 7:00 pm CST
- HOW: Bally Sports Southwest
Dallas will be without star Luka Doncic. The Mavericks are claiming his quad is sore and that this is injury management. If he’s sore, it’s from carrying the team for a while now with so many Dallas players hurt. Kyrie Irving is out still as is Maxi Kleber. The Wolves are impossibly healthy for this point in the season.
Without Luka Donic, this game feels over before it starts. The Wolves are also a remarkably good 12-1 at home, so they’re going up against a tested squad. We’ll see though, sometimes a team can really surprise you.
After the game, we should have the usual content. We’re entering that grindy point of the season, the month before the trade deadline, where everything feels uneasy and folks are argumentative. Let’s hope this one is a good enough basketball game where we can get a little weird. Thanks for hanging out with us! Go Mavs!
