The Dallas Mavericks (18-14) are in the Bay area Saturday night, facing off against the Golden State Warriors (15-16). The game will be broadcast on Bally Sports Southwest and starts at 7:30 pm. Each team is in the middle of a two-game slide, with Dallas falling on both ends of a back-to-back against the Cavaliers and Timberwolves whereas the Warriors fell to the Heat and Nuggets. Both teams need to right the ship. Here are the things you need to know.
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks vs Golden State Warriors
- WHAT: Dallas hopes to prevent a two-game skid from turning into a three-game losing streak
- WHERE: Chase Center, San Francisco, California
- WHEN: 7:30 pm CST
- HOW: Bally Sports Southwest
On the injury side of things, Kyrie Irving and Maxi Kleber are still out, though reports show that Irving’s return is expected relatively soon. Seth Curry is also out this game with an illness. The Warriors are only missing Draymond Green, who is serving his infinite suspension for being an idiot for the nth time.
There’s not too much to write here, the Mavericks are in the thick of their heavy schedule, with little rest between games. This would be an important win, given how the next three games are very winnable (Utah and two Portland games) as well. After that run, things get pretty dicey into mid-January for the Mavericks.
I’m out tonight (DNP - Extreme parenting) but Josh and company should hold down the fort on both the writing and podcast side of things. Thanks so much for hanging out, as always. Go Mavs.
