The Dallas Mavericks (11-8) host the Utah Jazz (7-13) in a game scheduled once the In-Season Tournament teams were determined last week. Dallas has had a few days to stew, following their loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder (which included a 30 point comeback by the Mavericks). Utah has had time off since winning an overtime game over the Portland Trailblazers on Saturday. Here’s the main things to know:
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks vs Utah Jazz
- WHAT: Stopping a losing streak
- WHERE: American Airlines Center, Dallas Texas
- WHEN: 7:30 pm CST
- HOW: Bally Sports Southwest
On the injury front, the Mavericks will be without Maxi Kleber as well as Josh Green. Green somehow sprained his elbow badly, again. Grant Williams is listed as questionable with right knee soreness. Kyrie Irving and Tim Hardaway are playing after missing Saturday’s game. The Jazz will be without a number of key rotation players, including Jordan Clarkson, Lauri Markkanen, and Kelly Olynyk.
If you haven’t been to the site since the Thunder loss, I don’t blame you. We all needed a break after something like that. But we still published another of strong pieces that I’d like you go consider checking out. Beyond the regular longer preview we try to post 24 hours before tip off, there’s also tonight’s betting thoughts. Then there’s this look at Kristaps Porzingis going on Old Man and the Three, where he has several thoughts on his time in Dallas. Josh wrote up Lively’s impact against the Thunder. Then there’s this good Mark Cuban story.
Thanks for hanging out, as always. We’ll be back after the game with at least two posts and one podcast. There might be more depending on how the game goes. Talk soon, Go Mavs.
