The Dallas Mavericks (23-16, 12-8 home) host the New Orleans Pelicans (23-16, 11-8 away) in the first of two weekend matchups that feature two teams bunched up in the Western Conference standings. It would be no surprise at all if we look back at these two games as a turning point for playoff seeding and potential tiebreakers. Let’s scan the lines and props for betting value.

Game Details

Fixture: New Orleans Pelicans vs Dallas Mavericks | NBA 2023-2024

Date and Time: Saturday, January 13th, 2023; 7:30 PM CST

Venue: American Airlines Center | Dallas, Texas

Outcome Odds

  • Spread: Mavericks -3.5 (-110)
  • O/U 229.5
  • Mavs ML: +166

Odds up to date as of 3:15 PM CST from DraftKings

Player Props

  • Kyrie Irving over 6.5 assists (-145)
  • Brandon Ingram over 36.5 PRA (-120)

With Luka Doncic out again for this one, the Mavericks keys will be in the hands of the other maestro on the roster. Look for Irving to have another solid game with plenty of opportunities to dish to teammates - including gorgeous baseball passes in transition.

Consider taking Ingram on the PRA wagon here. The Mavs are vulnerable to scoring Power Forwards and with Zion Williamson out for this one the frontcourt scoring focus will fall to Ingram - who is a capable rebounder and an above-average facilitator.

Play of the Day

  • Same Game Parlay (found on Mixed tab)

DAL Mavericks Moneyline | Over 6.5 Kyrie Irving Rebounds | Over 5.5 Brandon Ingram Rebounds (+500)

Derrick Lively, Maxi Kleber, Grant Williams, and Josh Green are all listed as game-time decisions. If Lively and Kleber remain out, this will create the necessity for Dallas guards to help out in the rebounding department. Irving getting to 7 boards, Ingram to 6, and a Dallas win brings home a great value bet at +500. Go Mavs!
