The Dallas Mavericks entered Wednesday with three players facing injury and illness concerns. Al-Farouq Aminu missed the last two games with a left shoulder injury he sustained against against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Devin Harris was forced to leave Monday's come-from-behind victory over the Thunder with a stomach illness. On Tuesday, it was reported that J.J. Barea woke up with a fever. Both Harris and Barea missed the team's film session and workout on Tuesday.
Wednesday morning, Harris must have been feeling better.
Devin Harris says he expects to play after his "stomach issues." He didn't want to get into what those issues were & I didn't want details.— Earl K. Sneed (@EarlKSneed) March 18, 2015
In fact, Rick Carlisle thinks they are all feeling better.
Rick Carlisle says he expects all Mavs to be available tonight, including Al-Farouq Aminu (shoulder), Devin Harris (ill) and JJ Barea (ill).— Tim MacMahon (@espn_macmahon) March 18, 2015
Whatever coach says goes, right? At the time of this writing, each are still listed as questionable for tonight's game.
As for the visiting Magic, they enter Wednesday's game with a slew of injuries already on the books. Evan Fournier has missed the last nine games under going hip surgery. Willie Green has been out the last four games with back spasms. And Devyn Marble continues to be sidelined with a detached retina.
Both Fournier and Green as listed as questionable against Dallas.
If dealing with these injuries wasn't enough for the Magic, they could be without Tobias Harris and Dewayne Dedmon as well.
It's possible the Magic will be shorthanded against the Mavs tonight. THarris sprained an ankle & DDedmon rolled an ankle last night.— Josh Robbins (@JoshuaBRobbins) March 18, 2015
Harris did not return to the game last night against the Rockets after spraining his ankle but Dedmon played the rest of the contest. They should both be considered questionable.
